½ Day Harbour Fishing

You'll fish Darwin Harbour around the historical wrecks and tropical reefs teeming with marine life using the best top quality Shimano and Diawa rods and reels. Hop on board Reefmaster a 46ft Randell, a very comfortable and largest half day charter boat on the Harbour.
This superb 1/2 day fishing charter, departs twice daily on the pristine Darwin Harbour where you will fish around historical wrecks and tropical reefs. you will target fish species such as Snapper, Black Jewfish, Spanish Mackerel and mixed reef fish, whilst enjoying fresh prawns, cheese, biscuits and a delicious sausage sizzle also cook up some of the catch of the day on the B.B.Q. you cant get any fresher than that.

Vessel: 'Reefmaster' a stable 46 metre Randall that is fitted with a fully shaded canopy over ample deck space with a B.B.Q. and an on board toilet. Reefmaster is the Largest 1/2 Day boat that Darwin has to offer.

Departure/Pickup Instructions: Departs from Cullen Bay Ferry Terminal twice daily. Please contact Darwin Fishing Office on (08) 8941 6122 to find out your actual departure time. You must be at the terminal 15 mins prior to departure. Please not that departure times change each day, due to tide variations.

We are the main contact point for large corporate groups wishing to do team build trips on the Darwin Harbour.

More: Fish in approx 30 meters of water on the swing of the tide for the best fishing action fish target species are Black jewfish, Golden Snapper, Spanish Mackerel and mixed reef fish.

Full Day Offshore Deep Sea Fishing
Departs daily.
A fantastic day trip offshore includes a full day of reef fishing up to 40 nm out to sea. Your day begins with a 5:30am departure from Buzz Cafe in Cullen Bay and returning at 4:00 pm from the Cullen Bay ferry terminal jetty heading south west whilst enjoying a cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs. Travel is to some of Darwins favourite offshore reefs teaming with marine life. We anchor on various different reefs throughout the day which may include areas like Fenton Patches, Pinnacles, Middle Reef Loee Patches, Fish Reef, Bass Reef or North Gutter.
Lunch is a cold meat and crisp salad smorgasboard prepared fresh on board, snacks are available during the day.
Fish for Giant Trevally, Black Jewfish, Golden Snapper, Spangled Emperor, Coral Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia and Tuna. Your experienced and friendly crew are always on hand to assist with all your needs from baiting the hook to to cleaning your fish. The fish you catch is available for you to take home filleted and within the NT bag limits.

Areas fished: Fenton Patches, Charles point, Fish Reef, Lorna Shoals, Pinnacles, Bass Reef, North Gutter and South gutter are some of the areas our Darwin fishing charter  may visit during the day. The areas we fish are dependent on the tides at the time.

1 Day Barramundi Fishing Safaris

Price: $300 p/p adult

The Top End can provide a fantastic one day barramundi fishing trip. Your guide will collect you from your Darwin accommodation in the early morning, you will then enjoy a comfortable 2 hour drive in a modern 4x4 air conditioned Toyota to the fishing location.

You may fish at any one of the following locations depending on where the fish are bitting best:
 

• Shady Camp, Mary River National Park.
• Tommy cut and Sandpan creeks.
• Corroberee Billabongs
• Adelaide River
• Finnis River or Daly river.

Your main target is the Northern Territory Barramundi and the rivers and billabongs are also home to Saratoga, Tarpon and Fork Tailed Catfish. Also keep your eyes peeled for Saltwater Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Feral Pigs and Sea Eagles, Jabiru's, Brolga's and many other birds of prey on this one day tour. You will be returned to your accommodation by 6pm that same day.
Maximum 3 to 4 passengers per boat

Night 1: Meet and greet at 8pm for a 9pm departure from Cullen Bay. Travel over night in airconditioned bunks to the fishing grounds of Flat Top Banks, Perron Islands or the Tiwi Islands, the area fished depends on the tides and time of the year, we will take you to the best fishing grounds available.
Day 1: Arrive at 1am at your destination, the crew will wake you at first light with the smell of bacon and eggs in the air and move a short distance to start an exciting day of fishing.
There will be over 30 different species of fish caught on this 2 day trip, which may include Black Jewfish, large and small mouthed Nanagi, Coral Trout, Golden Snapper, Spangled Emperor GT's and different Indonesian species of Snapper.
Day 2: Up early for another day of exciting fishing, we depart for Darwin around lunch time doing some trolling for Spanish Mackerel and Sail fish. arrive at Cullen Bay 4pm.

On the Flat Top Banks trips we will also introduce you to some rare Indonesian varieties and some real fighters such as the Giant Reef Jack & Red Jew all of which are just a small range of species that inhabit these pristine Top End waters.

Vessel: Jan Lee is a 56ft luxury, twin engine vessel built by Precision marine, originally built as a game boat she now operates our extended charters ranging from 2-5 days or longer.
Jan Lee is our most luxurious vessel, complete with air conditioned cabins with sleeping room for 8 passengers, a fully equipped kitchen, hot water amenities plus leather saloon. With twin cat engines and a cruising speed of 18 knots it doesn't take long before your 100-200 nautical miles offshore fishing abundant grounds. With all the very latest in safety and fish finding technology a fishing trip on Jan Lee is a very pleasant experience.

Cancellation Policy
Nil cancellation fee however a 5% administration fee will applyapplies if cancelled more than 30 days in advance.
50% cancellation fee applies if cancelled within 30 days.
100% cancellation fee applies if cancelled with 7days or you fail to board.

Jan Lee comes with 2 barra boats with guides, can sleep 8 persons in air/con cabins twin bunks.

Individual or Group bookings are available all year except January and February.

"Jan Lee" our Luxury Mother ship: Jan Lee is a first class luxury and well maintained vessel with a fully shaded walk around deck and Fly bridge, which is surveyed for up to 200 NM offshore. Parties are to a maximum of 8 persons and each will have an air conditioned bunk with bedding and towels provided. Showers are fresh water. Your crew will prepare superb meals, comfortable seating to relax, or chat and have a drink with friends whilst travelling. Jan Lee is fitted with all the safety gear, the latest marine technology plasma TV, Internet and Satelite phone. Barramundi: The Barramuni is Australia's premier freshwater/estuarine sports fish and the Northern Territory is home to this unique fighting fish.

For 5 Day Trips: Travis Bancroft your owner operator skipper and his experienced crew will take you on our mother ship Reefmaster to reach some exclusive & remote areas of the Top Ends coast. You will travel to the Tiwi Islands, or Cape Ford and the mouth of the Daly River, or up towards the Arnhem land coast fishing the mini mini system and beyond.

Target fish species: Fish the reefs of the Perron Islands for Barramundi, Thread fin Salmon, Black Jewfish, Coral Trout, Golden Snapper, Cod, Spanish Mackerel, Red Emperor, Robinsons Deep Sea Bream and other mixed reef species.
 

What you need to bring: Personal toiletries, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera ( 240 volt power available on board) and a change of clothes. BYO alcohol, this can be arranged through Darwin Fishing Office prior to the charter.

Watch the sunset into the waters of the Dawin Harbour on a balmy tropical night whilst fishing for Black jewfish, Golden Snapper and mixed reef fish. Enjoy fresh prawns, cheese, cabana and biscuits followed by a sausage sizzle all prepared fresh on board by your crew.

Fish may be released or filleted for you to take home.

You are given half an hour to settle in and change for that unforgettable snapshot of Gove. During the next two days, a host of activities combine in a flexible itinerary.

The trip to Bremer Island in your charter aircraft is a scenic tour of the area. During the next four days, a host of activities combine in a flexible itinerary.

Inclusions: Light aircraft charter flight; all transfers; entry permits issued by Dhimurru Land Corporation and Northern Land Council; all meals and light refreshments while at Retreat (meals in town not included) (alcohol not included); twin/double share accommodation; fully guided fishing with professional guide from 8.5m fully surveyed boat; all fishing tackle on a replace if lost or damaged basis (your welcome to bring your own favourite outfit); GXL Land cruiser 4WD with professional driver guide.

Accommodation: The camp is in keeping with a wilderness adventure. The facilities are simple but cater for the needs of those unaccustomed to camping rough and those who are accustomed to it but prefer not to. We provide comforts such as flush toilet, bush shower, large insect proof domes, camp beds and mattresses, bush catering and refrigeration. The Walkabout Lodge has air-conditioned single/double /triple rooms with ensuite bathroom and balcony/patio.
